Task Days
Task days take place one every month. They enable (a) people with very little spare time to work as a volunteer and (b) they provide an opportunity to sample what it’s like to work as a volunteer in the Park.
They are open to all registered Friends of the Park. A member of staff will be on hand to provide guidance, equipment and training where necessary. You will not be asked to do anything that you are unhappy with. Tasks vary according to what needs doing at any particular time.
If you are not a registered Friend of the Park but would like to sample what is involved in the conservation work undertaken on Task Days we would be delighted to hear from you.
All Task Days start at 10:00 am and finish around 3.30pm but you can stay as long as you feel able. You will need to wear sturdy clothing and bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. The dates of the next Task Days appear in the Calendar of events.

The Park is owned and managed by Bedford Borough Council. The Friends of Harrold-Odell Country Park work in partnership with Council staff and run this web site.
